Diy Favour Boxes Figure A Figure B Figure C

Materials:  1 square piece of paper

Instructions:

1. Fold paper in half in a left/right direction. Then open it up flat again and fold it in half from the top/bottom direction.

2. Fold paper in half on the diagonals and open it up flat again.

3. Fold the corners of paper to the middle (figure A).

4. Take this smaller square that you have just created and fold the left and right sides in half toward the middle.

5. Open those side flaps up and now fold the top/bottom sides in half toward the middle (figure B).

6. Open those flaps up, then take hold of the tips of the top and bottom triangular flaps and pull them out.

7. Fold the sides of the shape to the middle and pull them up into a 90-degree position. These will make the sides of the box (figure C).

8. Bring up the top and bottom sides of the box also into a 90-degree position, pushing the tipped flaps up and over into the bottom of the box.

Tip: To make a top for the box, all you have to do is make another box just slightly larger than the first one.

Products: This craft will work with any kind of paper, but some really beautiful papers for this project can be found at Asian specialty stores.
